Aerial Control Surveys_ We Offer Free Quotes kenw@wilsonlandsurveys.com Purpose: For large parcels, a method used to provide topographic information to a client is an aerial topographic map. Using photogrammetry, this process is economically feasible for parcels of 10 or more acres. Method: A. Targets are placed around the site by the surveyor. The exact location of the center of each target is provided to the photogrammetrist. B. By means of photographs taken from aircraft and the target locations, an aerial topographic map is prepared. Photos of the site can also be superimposed on the topographic map.
