Land Surveys

BOUNDARY SURVEY
The purpose of a Boundary Survey is to determine the location of your property boundaries. There are two main reasons why you might need a boundary survey. One is to install fences along your property boundaries. The other is to provide necessary information for a site plan when you apply for a building permit.
The California Building Code requires an “accurate boundary line survey” whenever a Site Plan is required for a building permit. Only licensed Land Surveyors can perform an “accurate boundary line survey” in the State of California.

BUILDING LOCATION
When a Site Plan is required for a new construction project, we will always accurately measure the location of existing buildings on the site and provide a map showing their relationship to the property lines as determined by our BOUNDARY SURVEY.
TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY
Typically, when a Site Plan is required, we will also provide the location of other features of the site including curbs, sidewalks, hardscape, fences, walls, visible utilities, trees and elevations. We refer to this as a TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY.

SUBDIVISIONS
We are able to prepare and assist with processing subdivision maps in harmony with the standards of your city and/or county. We have experience in processing many types of subdivision maps, including those needed when pursuing a lot split using the new SB9 process.
